The fall of 1985
saw Baltimore give birth to two dynamic song birds
Ichelle Cole
and
Yvonne Deane-Hibbert
who have proved themselves to be soldiers in this male dominated
business. These talented sistrens would set a standard in originality
and professionalism in the Reggae music industry in the years to come.

Lyndon
‘ACE’
Webb-Bass guitarist:
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, where rhythm pulsates and
people gyrate to the sounds of Reggae music. At the early
age of 8(eight), Ace developed an interest in the guitar,
even going so far as
attempting to make one from cardboard and some thread
(of-course dat neva did work)...lol, and his love and
interest in music just kept growing. Internship in the biz
began in the early eighties, with that curiosity questioning
the arrangements, and compositions heard daily from radio
and television programming.
In the mid-eighties, ACE
embarked on his journey, as a musician, placing no limits on
creativity and blend while collaborating with a group of
young enthusiastic friends working with little musical
knowledge, and just having fun while creating something of a
stir in the community. That experience of course, brought
also a world of exposure and opened up a listenership to
folk and other NATIVE music forms.
Migrating to London, and having
completed a course in Audio Engineering, again there came
the call to creative energies in the form of a London based
group, that was not only a musical blend, but also a unit
with various ethnic and social backgrounds, namely; a
British Drummer, West African Guitarist,
Swedish Saxophonist, and Nigerian vocalist,
together brought a wide range of influences that spanned
Reggae, Rock, Funk, African and R&B.
Fast forward to 1996 (Kingston,
Jamaica), where ACE joined the Reggae/Rock group 'GIBBY',.
who gained critical acclaim on and off the Island, and was
featured on the cover of 'Billboard Magazine' for their
adaptation of crossover music.
While continuously
working in and out the studio, alongside some of Jamaica's
better known recording artists, performers and producers,
ACE also played bass and or engineered for other local
and internationally known artists, such as 'LUCIANO',
‘SHAGGY’, 'BENJY
MYAZ', ‘BLACK UHURU', 'FREDDIE McGREGOR',
'JUDY MOWATT',
‘SEAN PAUL’, ‘DIANA
KING’, 'TOOTS & THE MAYTALS', ‘ANTHONY B’,
‘MAXI PRIEST’, 'BIG
MOUNTAIN', 'LEON & THE PEOPLES'
and many more.
The
group recorded and released in December 1993 their first album titled "Jah
Love" on the HOT STUFF RECORDS label owned by Ichelle Cole. This album
featured 10 tracks which featured some of Jamaica's internationally known
musicians Earl "Chinna" Smith, Wilburn "Squidley" Cole,
Christopher Meredith, Dean Fraser, Leroy Pennicott
and Isaachar.
The
second CD titled "Jah
Muzik" was
released on HOT STUFF RECORDS label in 1998. The compilation
is very well put together featuring culture, lover’s rock, spiritual
and dancehall selections that will have you singing and dancing
along
with every track
you hear. Special Guest Artists and Friends appearing on the
album include:
Frankie Paul, Prince Allah, Earl Sixteen, Chubby Ranks, Lenny Kurlou,
Pastor Son and Englishman.
The
group’s third CD titled “Changes” has just been released
on HOT STUFF RECORDS label, May 2002. Again, the international
sound
is evident
and refreshing featuring culture, lovers rock, spiritual and dancehall
selection that will please both the young and the old. The
CD features 14 tracks and the fancy guitar lines of Junior Marvin of the Wailers on
tracks 1,2,6,9, & 12.
